The OCBC Singapore cycling team was launched in December 2008. This significant partnership between OCBC bank and the Singapore Sports Council was put together to develop high-performance road cycling in Singapore. This structured talent identification programme that was developed by Singapore Sports Council, is a first and will hopefully pave the way for similar programmes for other sports.

The established race team will look towards a three year plan with the main aim of representation at Major cycling competitions such at the Tour of Langkawi in Malaysia and Major Games such as the Commonwealth and Asian Games.
