Dear Readers,

This is it.

After months of hard work and preparation, Singapore waits with bated breath as the inaugural Youth Olympic Games finally hits our shores.

For 12 days beginning 14 August, 3600 youths aged 14-18 from 45 countries will be competing against each other in 26 sports, as they bid to become the best in the world in their individual disciplines.

We will witness the making of future World Champions, and future Olympic medalists. We will get to see upcoming stars in different sports that will go on to be household names in the years to come. Let us then be part of it.
