Biking trails in town
Biking enthusiasts- seasoned and amateur alike- will be glad to know that there are now four mountain bike trails in town- Bukit Timah, Kent Ridge, Tampines and Pulau Ubin!
Max Mager, consultant for DirTraction and a volunteer who designs mountain bike trails, highlighted that these trails are safe and sustainable as the tracks do not turn muddy when it rains. Bikers can also look forward to variety as each trail poses a different challenge.
Bukit Timah and Tampines Park are ideal locations for the newbies, while intermediate bikers may like to try out the scenic Pulau Ubin. Advanced riders, on the other hand, can expect more challenging and technical trails at the Kent Ridge Park. But beware of the steep paths!
These new trails not only present the seasoned riders with a change of biking scenery, they also provide an opportunity for locals who wish to try a new sport while enjoying nature. It’s about time. Grab a bike and ride away!
