The inaugural Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2009 will take participants past several historical sights in the Changi area, including the Johore Battery and Changi Chapel Museum. As runners approach the finish line, they will enter the conserved old Gatehouse which brings them through the iconic Changi Prison Wall, and find themselves inside the new Changi Prison Complex.
The Complex contains Singapore's new generation high-rise, high-tech, super prison.
Branded ' Beyond the Run', the Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2009 is all about giving a second chance to start afresh. By their participation, runners are lending their collective voice to a message of encouragement for all ex offenders: ' to pick themselves up after having fallen down'
