The AYG will be a regional event open to all Olympics Council of Asia (OCA) meembers, with a projected 45 Natopma; Olympic Councils (NOCs) expected to send about 1000 top juniors to compete in the 9 sports offered, amely Athletics, Aquatics (Swimming and Diving), 3-on-3 Basketbll, Beach Volleyball, Bowling, Football, Sailing, Shooting and Table Tennis. Singapore is proud to host the inaugural Asian Youth Games in 2009, which will be held from 29 June to 7 July, and warmly welcomes all OCA member nations to participate in the event. |
