Singapore’s up and coming golfers will get their opportunity to vie for a place in the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final.
The fifth edition of the Faldo Series Singapore Championship, which will be played at the Raffles Country Club’s par-72 Palm Course, will see about 40 of the Republic’s male and female golfers aged 12-21 do battle over two days in June.
The winner will go up against the best golfers in Asia next March in the Asia Grand Final hosted by one of golf’s greatest players, Nick Faldo, at his own Faldo Course in Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen, China.
The Faldo Series Asia was established in 2006 to provide more opportunities for young golfers in Asia to compete and develop. This season’s series features a record 17 events across 12 countries including China, Singapore and Australia.
Singapore is the third stop in the series, which begins with the Beijing Championship next week.
