Nominate your champion now!

Following the success of the POSB Everyday Champions Award of previous years, the Singapore Sports Council (SSC) and title sponsor POSB are once again jointly organising the latest edition of the Award.

This award strives to promote sporting Singapore by encouraging and rewarding people who have consistently gone out of their way to help others enjoy and learn through sports.

Know of any individual in your neighbourhood who takes the intitiative to help others enjoy sports? How about the coach whom you have always looked up to as not only a mentor, but also a close friend and fellow athlete you can identify with? Or do you belong to an organisation that consciously sets aside time away from its routine business functions to promote a sporting culture at work? Send in your nominations for the POSB Everyday Champions Award 2010 now!

The launch of this year’s award will be held at Sengkang SRC on Sunday 28th February. For half a day in the morning until 3 in the afternoon, members of the public can immerse themselves in fun and games like soccer, basketball, floorball, table tennis, and more traditional games like capteh. There will also be a Nintendo Wii station set up!

Do not fret if you cannot come for the opening ceremony, the month of March will be filled with roadshows all over the island! Parkway Parade will play host to the first of many roadshows in March on the weekend of the 6th and 7th. Then, on 13th March, Saturday, Sengkang Primary School will organise a Health Fiesta. 14th March will see events held at Jurong Point, Pasir Ris Park and Hougang Avenue 9. Finally, the month of March will end off with a bang on Sunday the 21st with a full day event at United Square. Do join us, and be sure to nominate your POSB Everyday Champions now!
