NIKE GODDESS 5K

The Nike Goddess 5K Run, exclusive to women, returns this year on April 14, bigger than before with the focus on friendship.

The ‘Best Friends Forever’ theme encourages girl friends to run together but that’s not just it. The race organiser also planned to make this year edition at Sentosa Island, the most socially connected race ever.

Prior to the race, Nike will be providing a free application to participants called ‘Nike Training Club’ which is downloadable via the Apple App Store. The app will feature training sessions and activities that the girls can do together to get up to fitness before the run itself.

On race day, the girls will be able to interact virtually with #GODDESSBFF on Twitter and Instagram. Photo-loving girls would not want to miss out on an opportunity to be featured on a limited edition poster; all they have to do is to upload their best BFF pictures on Instagram to stand a chance.

After crossing the finishing line at the Sentosa Wave House, the girls will be pampered like a goddess with the rousing entertainment line-up planned by Nike.

Local talents like TwoFace, 53A and Ukelele, as well as NUS Dance Blast crew will be making an appearance. The race village will also feature express manicures and foot massages all for the girls’ enjoyment.

However, not only the goddess will benefit from this run. Nike Goddess 5K, for a second consecutive year, will support the AG Home for Girls, a centre that helps troubled teenage girls aged 12-19 years old, through a temporary refuge.

Nike will donate $1.00 for every kilometer runners have clocked, capped at $10,000 to the organization.
