When the Team Singapore Para-athletes led by Chef de mission Mr Ee Tiang Hwee returned home, they received a well-deserved welcome by their families and friends.
The contingent of 32 athletes and 24 officials represented Singapore at the 6th Asean Para Games 2011 held in Indonesia in five sports, namely; Athletics, Badminton, Swimming, Table Tennis and Tenpin Bowling.
The team spirit of the contingent was evident and shined through the Games. They had performed their best and garnered a total of 28 medals - 9 gold, 10 silver and 9 bronze, and also broke three Games records to finish in the 7th place overall.
