Running for a
second consecutive year, this year’s 2XU Compression Run saw a sharp increase
in the number of participants, as almost 10,000 people registered for the race
held on 10 April 2011at the Marina Promenade race area.
The race area
allowed competitive and casual runners to enjoy and take in the city’s beautiful
skyline while running. An interesting feature that was introduced in this run
is gender-specific race medal.
For the 12km
Men’s Competitive Category, South East Asian Games triathlete Mok Ying Ren
finished 1st, with a time of 39 minutes and 27 seconds while the
12km Women’s Competitive Category was won by Suzy Waisham in a timing for 45
