Hougang’s Birthday Present to Aide

All three points. That is what Hougang United is planning to give their coach Aide Iskandar for his birthday. The former national football captain and head coach of Hougang United, turned 36-years-old   yesterday, and he hopes that his charges will bag a win as they face Balestier Khalsa tonight at the Hougang stadium.

Though this gives the Hougang players an extra incentive to win, it will not be achieved easily. Coming up against a team that has only lost twice in six matches, beating Balestier would definitely not be an easy task. However, let’s not forget about Hougang United’s 12th man - their fans.

It could be a daunting task for any team who face Hougang United at their home ground, as their loud and patriotic fans are one of the most vocal in the league. Their spirit and cheers never fail to boost the home team’s morale whenever they are on the pitch.
Head on down and catch this exciting clash between the Tigers and Cheetahs tonight at the Hougang stadium, kick off at 7.30pm.

In last night’s S.League match, SAFFC got their title charge back on track with a one nil win against Gombak United. A goal by Fazrul Nawaz in the 12th minute coupled with some excellent defending by Daniel Bennett and the towering Bah Mamadou ensured that SAFFC got all three points.
