SportsHub Pte Ltd, the company responsible for financing, developing and operating the upcoming landmark Singapore Sports Hub, announces the appointment of Philippe Collin Delavaud as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Collin Delavaud, who assumed this position in late 2010, will be responsible for the strategic issues during the construction period, and to prepare the Opening of this unique hub in close relationship with the Singapore Sports Council (SSC) and the partners involved in the Project. Collin Delavaud will also be launching a proactive relationship-building campaign with key stakeholders in Singapore and globally.

Collin Delavaud has worked in a variety of leadership roles over his 30 years as a CEO or CFO, most recently spearheading Consortium Stade de France (CSDF), the company operating the world-renowned Stade de France. In this capacity, he oversaw a series of joint ventures and partnerships; he played a part in transforming the local sports and entertainment landscape and defined the role of the Stadium Operators as key to the overall development of a sporting and leisure venue.

Collin Delavaud was also involved at high-level large civil works or construction contracts, real estate developments as well as leading Information Technology or Telco companies.

He will play a vital role in coordinating and monitoring all aspects and partners of this very large and unique Public PrivatePartnership with the Singapore Sports Council, and the board trusts that he is more than prepared to run the development of a sporting landmark in Singapore, and Asia,” says Mark Woodhams, Co-Head Primary Infrastructure, HSBC Specialist Fund Management Limited, representing the Board of Directors.

Due to be completed by April 2014, the S$1.33 billion Singapore Sports Hub is envisioned to be a fully integrated sports, entertainment and lifestyle hub for everyone in Singapore. It will be Singapore's premier land and water sports center with integrated programming. Sports Hub is also slated to be Asia’s best sports and entertainment facility, and alongside the world's best and most dynamic sports, entertainment and lifestyle venues.

Partners having invested in, and involved in, the management of the Singapore SportsHub include HSBC group, Dragages Singapore, United Premas and Global Spectrum.

The SportsHub project is currently in its first phase, with demolishment works completed and piling began following the official groundbreaking ceremony on 29 September 2010. SportsHub Pte Ltd has taken over the operation, the maintenance and the refurbishment of the Singapore Indoor Stadium from 25 August 2010.
