After a punishing 3-hour competition that involved extreme mental willpower and brute physical strength, Strongman Nils Kjetil Sande, 33, an engineer thumped out nine other finalists and emerged as the strongest of them all!
 
Nils Kjetil Sande walked away with S$10,000 cash and prizes which was presented by Guest-of-Honour, Associate Professor Ho Peng Kee, Senior Minister of State for Law and Home Affairs and President of HomeTeamNS. The 1st runner up position went to 26-year-old student, Jen Li Sheng,who was the 2008 and 2010 champion.
 
Four Under-20 Tag Teams (teams of 2 each) gave their best shot in the Kia Car Pull, 3M Log Walk and Stamford Tyre Flip challenges. The champion team was Melvyn Loh and Muhd Zahrif, who won $1,000 worth of cash and prizes.
 
The HomeTeamNS Bodybuilding Championship, sanctioned by the Singapore Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation, saw sculpted men flexing their guns and strutting across the stage to wow the judges. The eventual champion of the HomeTeamNS category was Shahaizar Bin Johar. Shahaizar also won the Individual category.
 
Thousands of spectators cheered on the strongmen and some even took part in the three public challenges - Car Pull, Barrel Lift and Guess-The-Winner contest. The event was held at the Toa Payoh HDB Hub Mall on Saturday, 12 March.
