Tampines Rovers FC aims to reclaim top spot after tonight’s clash against Gombak United FC. The Stags are currently two points behind league leaders, Etoile FC who also have a game in hand.

It was nearly 11pm yesterday when Annie Au saw her name drawn first out of the box by the tournament chairman Raymond Tan. And the Hong Kong player's reaction indicated she'd have preferred to face someone else other than 4th seed Omneya Abdel Kawy in the first round of the Main Draw.

Indeed, it was scant reward for the 21-year-old who defeated Denmark's Line Hansen to kickstart proceedings on Day 2 of the CIMB Singapore Women's Squash Masters 2010. Starting her match at 6.30pm, Au was always on top against her taller opponent, and despite dropping the second game, she edged a competitive encounter in 38 minutes.

Sengkang Punggol FC will be looking to prolong their winning ways against Etoile FC in tonight’s SLeague match. The Dolphins have won their past two matches including their controversial 1-0 win over Balestier Khalsa FC.

While Sengkang seems to be on a roll, Etoile seem to be stumbling after their unbeaten streak was snapped. After losses to bottom half teams Albirex Niigata FC (0-1) and Beijing Guoan Talents FC (1-3), one would wonder if the Stars were taking things too lightly against the bottom half clubs. After all, the Frenchmen did win against the Young Lions in between the two losses.
