Match Day 2 of the AFC Cup 2010 will see Singapore representatives, Geylang United travel to Vietnam to face SHB Da Nang on Wednesday, March 15.
The Eagles opened their AFC Cup campaign with a tepid home draw against Hong Kong side Wo Foo Tai Po, while the Vietnamese pulled off an impressive away victory in Thailand, beating Thai Port 3-2.
However, both sides come into this clash having suffered defeats in their respective domestic competitions over the weekend, and both sets of players will be looking to get back on the winning track. Defending V-League champions Da Nang saw their three match winning streak end when they lost to a solitary goal against T&T Hanoi, while 2009 Singapore Cup winners Geylang were trounced 3-1 by S-League newbie’s Beijing Guo’an Talent.
