BMX, skateboarding and skating communities will have a safe space to practice their extreme sports, in a unique location by the sea. The facility is meant to “energise” that part of East Coast Park, which already plays hosts to other extreme sports such as cable skiing, windsurfing and kayaking.
The park will be launched with the inaugural Singapore Xtreme Championships 2009, to be held from the 29-30 of August. The two day event will focus on the sport disciplines of Aggressive In-line Skating, BMX Freestyling and Skateboarding.
