I just got wind that Wassim Benslimane (professional football freestyler) is teaming up with local freestylers to go on an exhibition tour of schools across the island from 22nd May to 29th May !!

Wassim Benslimane aka WASS has done loads of events in France and around the world. He has done commercial work, produced training DVD’s and video programmes and performed at all of the largest Freestyle festivals globally.

Lucky lucky students who will have the chance to meet Wass and catch him in action in the talent showcases. We know we could all really use some tips on how to be disciplined and focused (especially when it comes to mugging) so his talks on the discipline, focus and training that goes into freestyle football might really come in handy.

However, if you’re not a student and want to catch Wass perform LIVE, fret not!
Come 27th May, he will be showcasing his skills on the dance floor at Butter Factory with other local freestyle football talents. With DJ Andrew T supplying the tunes, it’s going to be an awesome night to remember!

Don’t miss this chance to catch another professional freestyle footballer in action!!

So, you might ask, what is freestyle football??? Freestyle breakdancing? Futsal? Both??
Well, Freestyle football is a discipline developed by the poor youths of the Parisian suburbia that marries ball handling skills and break dancing.

And who better to display these mad skills but Arnaud Sean Garnier--THE WORLD FREESTYLE FOOTBALL CHAMPION 2008-2009 who is coming down to The Cage on Saturday, 30th May!!

Was watching his vids the other day and this freestyle football champ really impressed me. Here’s the scoop on this freestyle football extraordinaire:

Name: Arnaud Sean -say c-ann—Garnier
Date of Birth: June 18th 1984
Place of Birth: Sens, France

Sean’s greatest love: displaying his moves for the public

Sean enthralling the audience by packaging football tricks with groovy music choices and slick hip hop dance moves. Kudos to his keen urban street fashion sense as well.
Wish I could be there…

Sean showcasing his signature move

This mad trick-- sticking a pen on his teeth, then rolling the ball for several seconds on the pen’s tip wowed judges during the Red Bull Street Style World Finals.

Now we know why he’s famous! Sean bulldozes his way to the top!
Sean has won and participated in the final stages of most major French and European contest. You would have probably seen vids / pics of him all over the internet

Free style football aficionados , you guys would probably recognise him starring in DVDs on freestyle soccer, such as "Komball vol.2 et 3", "Freestyle Football" or even "Mak Two Street Street Football Best". He’s also on the programme of various prestigious sports
events and other events organised by Adidas, NRJ, Nike, Reebok, Foot Locker and the like.

Sean clinching the trophy

A milestone in Sean’s career: He was crowned the best world champion freestyle footballer on November 18th 2008 after edging out fierce competition from Japan’s Yokota, and Brazil’s Murilo Pito.

Well, if I have whetted your appetite enough, go catch freestyle football wunderkind-- Arnaud Sean Garnier perform in a special exhibition showcase for Killa Balla II—a Freestyle Football competition held in conjunction with HPB’s Anti Smoking Campaign.

Killa Balla II
Date: 30th May 2009
Time: 830am-630pm

38 Jalan Benaan Kapal.
Singapore 399635

I’ll definitely be there. So guys, BE THERE OR BE SQUARE.

Legends are hard to come by. I’m going to be @ Jalan Besar Stadium GRANDSTAND on 31st May with my kakis to catch Fowler and the legendary ‘left leg of God’ turning out for A-League's North Queensland Fury! They will be playing the Beautiful game against our very own Tampines Rovers!

GUYS, take a break from the EPL and catch some live action! The Grandstand tickets are going for $25 and there are also Gallery tickets which are going for $15 and $5 for kids below 12yrs old. The tickets have been selling at Jalan Besar Stadium since 18th May and are available even on the match day itself (for all you procrastinators).
You also can get your tickets online (like me) at from 15th May onwards.
